The HSBC Celebration of Light Fireworks was once again the venue of choice for Garth’s client appreciation events this year. Having a great entertaining craft like “Tungar” and the success of last years events made the fireworks an easy choice.
Spain is the winner of the 2010 Celebration of Light!
The announcement was made to rain-soaked crowds at English Bay Saturday just moments before the playing of the Canadian and Chinese national anthems and a pyrotechnic tribute to China, the winner of last year's festival.
Though early beachgoers were dampened by an unexpected downpour and a lightning storm that delayed an appearance from Mayor Gregor Robertson, their spirits were anything but dampened by the time Spain was announced the winner at 9:55 p.m.
Festival judge and founder of VancouverIsAwesome.com, Bob Kronbauer said that while the competition between Spain, Mexico and the United States was tight this year, Spain was his standout favourite since seeing their performance July 24.
"Over all there was a real story line to it that I loved and it was just really moving," Kronbauer said of Spain's "Heaven & Hell" themed performance. "The colours, the music, the whole presentation I really liked."
The cruises start out on the North Shore, with a few beverages at the dock, a chance for all party goers to meet, and familiarize themselves with the safety features aboard Tungar. Once everyone is aboard we head out for a tour through False Creek via the Vancouver harbour, before taking in the breathtaking displays of fireworks. Their counselor and client care partners build relationships with our clients so that the circumstances, goals and obstacles in each person's life can be honestly and compassionately addressed.
Clients must be willing to help themselves as they strive to find gainful employment, learn new life skills, and overcome difficult circumstances.

The Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. adopted The Sunshine Kids Foundation as a network-wide charity in the spring of 1991. The Sunshine Kids Foundation provides exciting, positive group activities for children with cancer, so they may once again do what Kids are meant to do...have fun and celebrate life!
